Trade Finance Officer needed at Stanbic IBTC Bank

Group Finance has its own, dedicated SAP technical support and development team and a new financial systems and process improvement programme team known as Refine.

Position Description

To articulate and co-ordinate the delivery of Trade products and value proposition to clients (existing and new) bank wide through customer acquisition, growth, retention and segment profitability.
Develop and implement strategy to increase SIBTC market share of Trade business.
Leverage cross-sell opportunities to increase our wallet share of existing clients business.
Take ownership of all Trade products and services and work with other internal teams to deliver these products to the clients.
Have good understanding of client’s supply chain needs and develop / implement appropriate Trade solutions.
Key Accountabilities/KRA

Grow volume and value of core Trade business for the bank (LCs, BCs etc) in line with budget.
Provide market intelligence on Trade business
Increase Trade product usage among existing clients
Maintain weekly call plans and produce a call report for each new prospect.
Provide weekly report on sales and activities (performance tracking)
Effective coordination of all internal stakeholders to ensure delivery of excellent Trade products and services to the clients.
Maintain a reasonable customer deal-pipeline
Required Skills and Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:

Minimum of a B.Sc
A relevant professional qualification would be an advantage.
Work Experience

Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in Banking preferably in relationship management.
Good knowledge of Trade products and Trade Finance.
Good use of Computer Operating Systems (e.g. Microsoft word, excel, powerpoint etc)
Clear understanding of the drivers in market and clients needs
Good knowledge of competitor products and prices
Experience in preparing and motivating Credit applications will be an advantage.
Experience in Sales is an advantage
